App Store Optimization – Whats is it?
App Store Optimization (ASO) is the process of optimizing mobile apps for the purpose of achieving a higher ranking in an app store’s search results. The higher the ranking, the more visible the app will be to potential customers, which ideally leads to more downloads and installs.
ASO is similar to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for websites—both aim to improve visibility and organic traffic by improving the rank of a page or website in search results.
There are two main types of optimization:
This includes all the elements you can control on your app store page, such as the app title, description, icon, etc.
This includes everything else, such as app reviews and ratings, backlinks, social media signals, etc
One of the main goals of ASO is to improve a healthcare app’s conversion rate—that is, the percentage of people who see the app in the store and then go on to download and install it.
At HealthTechWiz, our primary goal is to increase organic traffic (the number of people who find the app without being directed there through paid advertising), improving visibility, and building a better brand.
